1970-1980
1970s
Tecnopinz was founded in 1970 and operated for its first decade from its operational headquarters in Agno.
1980s
In 1980, Enrico Tettamanti took over the company, relocating it to larger premises in Manno. The production focus shifted to high-precision tool clamping systems.
In 1987, thanks to a brilliant idea from Enrico Tettamanti, a revolutionary clamping system, called the "ETS" Collet (complying with DIN6499 standards), was developed and patented worldwide.
The growth of Tecnopinz’s international presence led the company to establish itself in a new and larger location in Mezzovico.

1990-2000
1990s
Tecnopinz’s machine park was completely modernized with the introduction of new-generation CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, leading to further expansion of the production area.
2000s
Always searching for new markets, the company entered the world of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) production, offering a complete range of clamping tools for high-speed spindles used in drilling and milling applications worldwide. Nicola Roberto Tettamanti joined his father in the family business, taking on the role of Sales Manager. His older brother, Claudio Sergio Tettamanti, also chose the family business path and joined Tecnopinz as Head of Research and Development.
2010s
The decade begins with the generational transition from Enrico Tettamanti, who successfully led the company for the first 40 years, to his two sons, Claudio and Nicola.
Tecnopinz enters the market with a completely renewed image, reflecting the close connection between the family-owned business and the world of precision mechanics.
The company expands its production capabilities with numerous new CNC machines for turning, milling, and grinding, supported by automation solutions. At the same time, a new management system is introduced, covering all value creation processes and improving production efficiency.
The company also focuses on sustainability, inaugurating a completely refurbished roof, where a 390 kWp photovoltaic system is installed in collaboration with AIL SA.
2020
During the challenging pandemic year, the company protected its employees and simultaneously completely overhauled its metrology department, integrating a 3D CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) into a climate-controlled area.
2021-2023
2021
The company prints its last paper document. From this point on, it operates entirely digitally, thanks to powerful document management systems directly integrated into its business processes.
2022
In line with long-term sustainability goals, the heat recovery system is expanded to reduce energy consumption for heating and compressed air.
2023
The CNC grinding department is expanded with a completely new, climate-controlled area, housing a new S141 and a new S31 machine, both state-of-the-art. At the same time, a scheduler is introduced to oversee the entire production process across all departments and is directly connected to the company’s management system.
2024
Tecnopinz welcomes its clients into newly modernized and functional spaces. In production, a pilot project for the automated movement of internal logistics is launched. The company focuses its efforts on production excellence and productivity.
2025
It is time to once again refresh the image and content of its institutional communication. Tecnopinz presents itself with a new and dynamic image, reflecting the ongoing journey of continuous improvement.
